Random Photos!!

Hey everyone!! No baby ....... yet. But I'm sure she'll be here soon because she can't stay in my belly forever.

This is my on my due date (Feb. 27th). I guess the docs were right with the original due date of March 2nd??? I go for a check up tomorrow at 3:00. I am praying that I'm ready enough to deliver this baby. Check back for more baby news!!

On Monday, (my last day at work) Amanda surprised us with a visit to school. She brought her beautiful baby Brewer to eat lunch with us!! What a great surprise. Notice: just look how great she looks for having a 3 week old! WOW-what inspiration!!

Next, is a photo of a dress that a dear sweet lady made for baby "what's her name." It was stitched with such detail and elegance. I can't wait for my little baby to wear it! I just wanted everyone to see it!

Just Waiting.....

Well I guess this is the longest part of the pregnancy.... the last few days. Of course, the last few days could turn into more than a week if I don't go into labor! I have this gut feeling that it may be a while until she's born. I'm predicting a March 5th birthday for our little one.
I am so happy that Monday will be my last day at school. Actually, my feet will be the most thankful, as they are always very swollen and a bit painful. I'm a little worried about leaving school because I teach 4th grade and my portfolios are not finished. I know that school will go on without me, but I feel bad for leaving without completing each piece. They are most of the way done, only one piece left, but ....... I still feel bad! I really love my job and the kids in my room are very close to me. I'm working Monday to tie up any loose ends and to say "good-bye" to my kids. I will be going back the last couple of days of school to clean my room and do end-of-the-year things.
I can't wait to meet our little baby and to tell everyone her name! It has been such fun having a secret with Matt. We have loved calling her by name and listening to all of our friends and family try to guess her name. You'd be surprised how many people say it without knowing it!
Please pray for a healthy baby and safe delivery. Actually a QUICK and safe delivery would be a nice prayer!

Pregnant Together!

I've been meaning to add these photos to the blog. This was taken at our double couples shower with the Gregorys. We are all in order by our due dates. It looks like I'm next! YIKES!! I have several other pregnant friends too. I missed these people in the photo: Melissa, Amanda, Michelle, and Heather R. This was made on January 12th at the Pardue home. Here are our husbands in the same pose. How funny!!

Snowy Day

Well, I've been so excited about this LONG President's Day weekend..... no school for three days, the chance of pretty snow and a baby shower brunch is planned, by my dear sweet friend Melissa (who is due only a few weeks after me).
Unfortunately, the snow really made it's way into our area this morning. I am so sad because I was going to be able to spend time with friends that I don't get to see too often. But it is probably for the best b/c so many other "almost mommies" were planning to come. I'd hate for them to fall or be in an accident! I hope that everyone will still be able to come Friday night, that is the new date for the shower.
I do believe that I will STILL be preggo for a while! Does pregnancy last forever? It's beginning to seem that way. I don't feel any "signs" that baby Jones is on her way. I just feel the same, normal. Do babies give us signs to let us know they are on their way? I'm praying that they do.

A few nursery photos...

It's a good thing that we have a couple of more weeks, because her nursery is not quite finished. I still need to find baskets for the changing table, a rug, and hang her wall decor. Of course, some of it is not up because it would reveal her initials and name. ...... We've done such a great job of keeping it a secret, so we don't want to let the cat out of the bag quite yet!

The baby quilt was made by my dear friend Amanda. Thank you Amanda- I LOVE it!

Check Up = NO CHANGE!!!!

Well.... no change. The doctor's are going between two due dates: Feb. 27th and March 2nd. So we'll see what happens. So now we are just playing the "Waiting Game."

While being pregnant, I've looked forward to each stage. Telling everyone our news, the 12 week mark, the 20 week ultrasound, the 30 week point, the count down of single digit weeks.... now we're still looking forward to the next stage-DELIVERY!

Today was a nice day because I only worked 1/2 day---I think I could get used to this! But in order to keep my mind sane, I think I'll keep on working-swollen feet and all. (Are flip-flops in February a fashion no-no? I may have to resort to that-BURRRR!)

Check Up Tomorrow!

Whew! What a day. I've been at a training all day long today. I am ready to be off of work for a while. Today my wonderful friend, Tonya, came over and painted my toenails. Funny thing is that she can't reach her toes either! I owe her a polish change!
Tomorrow is my appointment day. Please pray that lots of great things have been going on in preparation for baby Jones to arrive. I am SO ready for her to be born--(I think). We can't wait to meet her. Matt and I try to imagine what she will look like, how her first cry will sound, and well--we try to imagine everything, but we can't. I'm due two weeks from today. The whole pregnancy has flown by.
One other funny thing..... Heather, Heather, Tonya, and I all went out to eat at Panera Bread (Melissa-we missed you). We all have ROUND BELLIES for sure! It is so funny to me the way people react to four pregnant women that are all together. We like to meet weekly for dinner. Amanda has already left our "Club." She is where we are all dreaming to be.... at home with our new blessings!

Almost Mommies!!

We're almost mommies now. Here I am 37 weeks and Tonya is 31 weeks. We can't wait to meet our girls.
