A Crazy December

Whew, December has sure been a busy month for us! (especially the past two weeks). Enjoy the pictures, captions and videos. Happy New Year!

My dear friend Kelly, her mom Kay and my mom all came up to Bowling Green for dinner the week before Christmas.

The next day, Zoe Kate and I drove to Hendersonville to meet up with Mimi (my mom) and Mama Jane (my mom's mom, aka my grandmother) for Mama Jane's birthday! Her birthday is December 22nd. Every year for the past 6 or so years my mom treats us all to pedicures to celebrate! This year, Zoe wanted to participate too. She sat so incredibly still while the lady polished her toenails. She wanted to paint them lime green, but settled for the same pretty pink that I had chosen for myself. Zoe was so proud of her "pweeettty pinnnk toes" as she would say. Happy Birthday Mama Jane! Thanks Mimi for the pedicures!Christmas Eve... Eve we had a very eventful night! First Amy Kate and Jon came over to announce their new engagement. No set date yet, incase you are wondering. Amy Kate and Jon were almost giddy. It was so cute. Really, as they went out the back door, our next guest came in the front door. Marv and Jim, Karen and Laurie Wright over to our house for pizza. Jim is quite the pianist and Zoe LOVED it! She wanted everyone to dance with her and if anyone quite dancing, she'd call you out (by name) and tell you to "dannnnce." Enjoy the video clip. Be sure to stay tuned for the ending of video. Zoe really breaks it down with a bootie shake that is hilarious!

Our Christmas Eve family photo: We've been telling Zoe that we can't open the gifts under the tree yet. Well, finally the day came where she could open a present. She was so excited! Although, it took her a loooong time to open just one gift. After she opened a magna-doodle, she was perfectly content with opening no more presents. She opened so many cool toys. Her favorites include a Cabbage Patch Newborn doll, a laptop computer for toddlers and some Clippo (lego) toys. Thanks guys!!

On Christmas Day, we had to leave the house pretty early to get everything in, whew. We woke Zoe up so she could see her new toys and open her presents from us. She was SO happy about her new sit-n-spin. It took her only a few minutes to get the hang of it and boy does she love it. Here she is right after she figured it out.

Next, on to Mamaw and Pawpaw's house to see them, Aunt Amy Kate and Aunt Amanda. Everyone tried to keep Zoe from going into the den before eating Mike's famous Christmas breakfast. To no avail, she went straight in to see her presents. "Chairs!" she cried out. She went right to the bench of her new table, got the new crayons out and asked for paper. And of course, there was a new notebook of paper just for her laying out. Zoe loves her table and chairs! After we left there, we headed to Matt's Granny's house to celebrate with his family. We left our house around 8:30 that morning and got back home around 10:30--that's a long day! Zoe was so so so good though. The day after Christmas, we celebrated with my dad. After eating a great lunch out at Smokey Bones, we came back to our house to open gifts. Zoe clapped her hands when she saw my dad and Nanny getting gifts out my dad's truck. It was funny. She opened a toddler four-wheeler that is so cute. Her face really lit up when she got to ride it. She can ride it all through the house. She hasn't quite gotten the hang of steering... I guess it will come? I'll try to get a video in the next few days, it's pretty funny.

Matt, Zoe and myself have sure been very blessed this Christmas season. We are very thankful that we have so many friends and family members to be 'busy' with. It is truly a blessing to have each of them in our lives!
May God bless each of you with a Happy New Year!

Happy New year! The videos of Zoe are so cute! Where did you find the table and chairs? We are keeping that in mind for Fiana's b-day in March! Ya know they both have b-days one day apart! How cool is that? Can you believe they will be 2? I enjoyed your post and thanks for sharing! :)

Yeah for the new post. Look at you. I don't even have all of my pictures uploaded to my computer. I need to get busy!

It looks like you had a ton of fun this Christmas.

Zoe is just so fun and precious. We just loved seeing you and hanging out! And, a girl's dessert night! It's doesn't get much better than that. We should do that again next time!
